Go back to International Cricket Captain 2

Not only does ICC2 boast accurate statistics (provided by Wisden, the cricketing bible), it also features little portrait photographs of each player, which crop up throughout the game – when you click on a player’s profile, for example, or whenever they’re batting or bowling. While this might seem like a nice touch, it can have unfortunate side-effects. When an opposition player is doing well in the match it can be frustrating enough without having their smiling face beaming back at you throughout.

Thankfully, you can have your revenge; since the pictures are all helpfully stored as .bmp files on your hard drive, you can have a little fun with them. Personally, I developed an unhealthy personal vendetta against former Gloucestershire and England wicketkeeper Jack Russell, which ended up with me making some crude and unnecessary additions to his picture. To be honest, though, any opposition player (or even one of your own) will do.

I’m not proud of it, but I have to say it did make me feel better.
